My name is David Lane.  I have played, sung, tooted and strummed music for as long as I can remember.  There are few instruments I haven’t attempted over the years and a day without keys under the fingers is a day wasted, in my opinion.

I am a solo pianist and also play duets (on piano four hands and two piano).  I have extensive accompaniment experience across many instruments and genres and have excellent sight-reading skills.  My tutors include the late Arthur Haley (Guildhall School of Music) and Chris Green-Armytage.  I hold the ABRSM Licentiate diploma for piano performance.

After years of plodding away on the organ to help out with church services I decided to learn properly and was lucky enough to be awarded a Norwich Diocesan Organ Scholarship and,  subsequently, the organ scholarship of St Peter Mancroft, Norwich.  I studied with the late Kenneth Ryder and then Matthew Pitts.   This training has given me an excellent grounding in not only ecclesiastical music but also and great understanding of the the amazing range of the organ.  I am an Associated Board of Music prizewinner and hold a Certificate in Sacred Music Studies from the Royal School of Church Music.  I also play the theatre organ.

I teach piano and organ lessons in Norwich, Norfolk and am available to play for weddings and events and as an accompanist.

I am a member of the ISM and fully DBS checked.   google992e16b2535b230b.html
